CallTracker + Salesforce integration
The Salesforce integration records phone calls against the right person in Salesforce. CallTracker searches Leads and Contacts by phone number, creates a Lead when the caller is unknown, and logs the call as a Task with the placement and traffic source.
- How it connects
- OAuth (connect your Salesforce org from Settings β CRM)
- Included in
- CallTracker Pro, no extra charge
- Best for
- Sales teams on Salesforce that want inbound phone leads captured as Leads with the marketing source attached.
What happens when a call comes in
- Searches Leads, then Contacts, whose phone or mobile number contains the last 7 digits of the caller's number.
- Creates a Lead for unknown callers, with the traffic source as lead source.
- Creates a completed call Task on the Lead or Contact with duration, status, placement name and traffic source.
Data sent to Salesforce
- Caller phone number
- Call duration, status and timestamp
- Placement name and traffic source
How to set it up
- Open Settings β CRM in CallTracker.
- Click Connect on the Salesforce card and sign in to the Salesforce org you want to use.
- Choose which events sync: completed calls (on by default), missed calls, and an optional minimum call duration so very short calls are skipped.
- Make a test call and check the Activity timeline on the Lead or Contact.
Limitations
- Matching uses only the last 7 digits of the phone number, so two records sharing those digits can be confused; the first match is used.
- CallTracker does not create Opportunities or Accounts.
- UTM parameters and click IDs are not written to Salesforce; use the webhook if you need them in custom fields.
- Syncing is one-way.
